Room 8 Class Newsletter
Term 4: Week 6 16.11.15
We hope you
enjoyed the long weekend. It was nice to have an extra day to recharge the
batteries during this busy time of the year.
We welcome Digby
to Team Star this week. It’s great to have you join the team.
Now that our
classes are complete, Mrs Wallace’s and Miss Young’s class will be having a
class photo on Tuesday. Please ensure the children are wearing their school
sweatshirt or cardigan and not their polar fleece for the photo.
Mrs Wallace is on
release this Tuesday to complete Maths assessments. Mrs Lillian Glasson will be
teaching with Miss Young.
Our Athletic
Sports Day wil be held this Thursday 19 November from 10.30am – 12.30pm. Families
are invited to join the children and their class for a picnic lunch following
the sports. Please ensure your child wears their house t-shirt, is fully
sun-blocked before school, and has a named sunhat. They will also need a warm
jacket, a safety pin to attach their score card to their shirt, and a large
lunch with a named drink bottle. There will be a whiteboard by the staffroom
that will display the roations and groups for the day.
Remember to
return your child’s library book in their reading folder by Thursday, so that
another can be be issued. Jenny, our ‘mobile’ Librarian, is really enjoying
sharing her collection of books with the children and they look forward to her
visits also.
