Week 7 Newsletter

Room 8 Class Newsletter
Term 4: Week 7                 23.11.15
We welcomed Senith, George, Willow and Digby to Room 8 last week. It’s great to have you join the team.

What a wonderful event our Junior School Athletics Sports was last Thursday. A huge thank you to June Sutherland for her outstanding organisation of such a big event. Thank you also to all those family members and friends who came along to support the children on the day. The children had a fantastic time and performed brilliantly – as did those parents who ran races as well! The Room 8 Boys’ Champion was Jaime and the Girls’ Champion was Madison. The Room 8P Boys’ Champion was Monty and the Girls’ Champion was Isabel. Congratulations to all children who took part.

Congratulations to Grace Bremner who received the Heart of Achievement Award at Junior Assembly on Friday.

With the opening of the school pool this past weekend, hopefully we can look forward to some warm weather in the lead up to Christmas. Class teachers will receive a swimming timetable for the pool this week, so please make sure you have a named pair of togs, a towel and goggles (if your child wears them) ready to go. This is also a good time to check all your child’s clothing is named, including shoes, socks and underwear – it is these small items that have a habit of disappearing! We would be grateful for offers of help from parents to assist with changing the children before and after swimming.

Please remember to return your child’s library book in their reading folder by Thursday, so that another can be be issued. Many children have overdue books. We will note these in the sign in book.

Upcoming Events:
